Long Journey Traveled
I listened to one of the oldest surviving songs in human history. Surprisingly, it made me cry. It gave me a sense of being just one piece in a very long chain. A sense of awe. Sensing something much bigger than you. Feeling connected to the human race. A long journey traveled. Many civilizations vanished. Most of the history forgotten. But this piece of music, somehow, made it to this day. About the same things and emotions we still know and feel. A melody composed by a man long gone, a civilization long gone. Yet, our existence is so short.
